More about Anna Frost and her coaching
Anna Frost grew up playing every sport she could including field hockey, rowing, touch rugby, cross country running and triathlon as well as getting outdoors on overnight hikes, camping and adventure racing. Anna went on to study Physical Education at Otago University which covered everything from personal training, coaching, teaching, sports science including biomechanics, anatomy, sports psychology and nutrition. She followed her Science Bachelor up with a Post-Graduate Diploma in teaching. She then went to Europe to take on the mountain and trail running world.
Anna has raced all over the world in every distance and terrain possible. She has had many successful races from stage races, vertical kilometres and all distances up to 100miles. She has had her ups and downs, injury, fatigue, wins, DNF’s and from all of this she has grown into a better athlete, a more rounded, complete and efficient runner, person and coach.
She has concentrated on balanced living, hormone control, nutrition, lifestyle, relationships and compassion. Anna’s passion is to share her experience, her knowledge and her love for running, training, cross training and racing with you. She has always trained and coached with a priority on self awareness. To read, listen and react to your own body. But she understands and loves science and will work with you to find your best motivation, direction and goals in which ever way suits you best.
Anna is happy to work with all of you. Ultra, mountain, road, trail, women, men, pregnant or new mums and dads, beginner, who ever you are, I am here for you! If want to complete your first race, or if you are already a runner and you want to increase your training and racing mileage safely and progressively, or if you are training for a specific race/goal. As long as you are up for the challenge, she is keen to meet you half way!
