WHERE: Åndalsnes is located at the mouth of the river Rauma, at the shores of the Romsdalsfjord, Norway. This is some of the most spectacular scenery in the entire country. From the light playing on the waterfalls, to the boats fishing in the fjords, the rugged and giving mountains, and the Trollveggen (the Troll Wall), one of the cliff formations in the valley that we will be running to the top of. If we are lucky, we may even see a launch of a BASE jumper

WHAT: The trip includes trail running, hiking, canyoning or white water rafting (depending on water levels), kayaking in an UNESCO fjord, yoga, e-biking, via ferrata (add on), homestyle accomodation all fuelled with fabulous local foods and wines. Norway trail running time varies from 1-6 hours and can be adjusted to your ability or needs. Some runs may change depending on weather. Some runs will be slow moving, power hiking, steep, and technical so prepare accordingly. All runs will be measured in time rather than distance due to the vertical +/- and technical aspects of the trails (Always bring a running backpack to bring food, water, and a jacket with you. Please also include snacks and electrolytes as it can get very hot and humid).

WHO: This adventure is for everyone. Norway is full of adventures for us all. Some trails are quite technical, some are smooth so we can make an adventure to fit everyone on the trip. Only thing required is a good sense of adventure and flexibility.

  • USD $3195

  • US$500 non refundable deposit required to secure place, deposit can be transferred to another adventure.

  • Remaining balance due by April 1st, 2023. Registrations after that date must be paid in full.

  • ***For the 2023 Trip: Due to concerns with Covid-19, we may be requiring proof of vaccination, negative covid tests, health declaration forms, etc, so please be prepared and willing to show this.

ADVENTURE ITINERARY

DAY 1 - Sunday - July 23rd

  • Arrival in Molde Airport or Andalsnes Train Station

  • Shuttle to hotel

  • Evening Yoga/Stretch/Core strength

  • Dinner at hotel

DAY 2 - Monday - July 24th

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • Run of 3-4 hours out and back to the top of the famous Troll Wall. This is about 10km over technical and steep terrain. Taking the scenic drive up the valley to the top of the waterfall. Covering some steep rocky trails, valley floors filled with berries and across glacial moved rock formations to the pass and overlook of the magnificent Troll Wall and valley below.

DAY 3 - Tuesday - July 25th

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • Run of 4-6 hours on the Romsdalseggen Ridge. This run is 10 kilometers long, and the height difference is about 970 meter. It is an airy, but breathtaking experience standing on top of the ridge. The path is well marked, and the surface is good. Some parts of the run is exposed, but there are chains bolted in the steepest parts for a better grip. You basically run on the ridge all the way back with a steep descent through a good cover of vegetation down to Åndalsnes.

DAY 4 - Wednesday - July 26th

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • Kayak of 5-6 hours in the fjord including a hike to a viewpoint that is only accessible by boat.

  • Packed Lunch to have on the kayak trip

  • Evening Yoga/Stretch/Core strength

  • Dinner at hotel

DAY 5 - Thursday - July 27th

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • Run 17km, 1200m V+/- starting in Kvanndalen and continuing under the summits and glaciers of Store Vengetind & Kvanndastind. We then pass by mountain cabins and alpine lakes, finally making it to Glutterstaua. From there we begin our descent past waterfalls on a steep and technical trail back to the valley floor.

  • OPTIONAL (instead of running) Canyoning or White Water Rafting (depending on water levels) of 5-6hours in Gudbrandsjuvet, Valldall. Follow an exciting and challenging course through the canyon, including via ferrata, tight ropes, cliff jumping into the river, bouldering, a zip line and swimming (at an extra cost).

DAY 6 - Friday - July 28th

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • Run of 4-5 hours to finish the week. 27km 1100m V+/- run begins in Kavli and goes up past the summits of Kyrketaket and Kjovskartinden, then to the mountain hut of Massvasbu where we will have lunch. After lunch we continue for 11k back to Kavli and getting amazing views of the fjords and surrounding summits.

DAY 7 - Saturday -July 29th - Goodbyes
